These calendars are for anyone on your list that loves a bit of feminine energy in their life. You'll find beauty/skincare, fragrance, haircare, nail care, and jewelry reign supreme here.
This advent list is formed based on value for money, creativity, beauty, and interest.
Calendars that my family has purchased or received are marked with a + symbol.
Products or companies for which we are an affiliate are denoted with a *.
There are dozens of lists in various categories! Browse the dropdowns to find more.
Make-up and skincare, primarily.
There are so many and this one is hard to narrow down, so we created a list of the top 10 that are still available here.
Lush+ won this category because of their consistant quality of included products, the beautiful and well-made advent box, and availability. We especially love that Lush has multiple advents to meet many budgets at $134 - $315.
Beautiful Earth's Build Your Own Advent in both 24 and 12 days is the MVP for the value and the amazing selection. The 24 day at $199.95 is 70% off what you would pay for each piece individually, while the 12 day is $119.95 and still claimed to be 70% off. The math is not quite mathing there, but it is still close enough that we believe that this is good quality jewelry at a steep discount through the advents.
On the more fun and frugal side, we have the Peanuts 12 Days of Jewelry Set*. Snoopy themed costume jewelry for $29.99
We are tea people, so there is always at least one tea advent calendar every year. Vadham and Harney and Sons' advents are always crowd favorites. Their advents are such great ways to sample a large variety of excellent quality tea.
If you would like to see more suggestions for tea advent calendars, or even hot chocolate or coffee, click here for a full listing of hot beverages.
If gel polish is what you seek, Beetles Gilded Boutique Christmas Advent Calendar* is the one for you. With a full setup for doing gel nails, this one is top tier. The box itself is simply stunning and every box includes a "Golden Ticket with future rewards".
House of OPI'cing Mini Advent Calendar+* is a 12 day calendar with mini versions of all their new release holiday colors. These are traditional polishes, not gel.
This is a great value, especially if you do not go through normal size bottles before they dry out, like us.
Last, but not least, is Manicurist's All That Glitters! Active and Green Advent Calendar*.
The beautiful and high quality box and the excellent assortment of brands lands this advent in the top spot for fragrances. And at $125 directly from Bloomingdales, it is far from the most expensive.
Victoria's Secret has 2 advents that were originally $250 that have dropped in price to $175. Bombshell and The Bare are beautiful and a good value, but if your person prefers body spray, the "We Mist You! Mini Mist Wreath Gift Set is an even better value. It is NOT, however, an advent calendar, so you would need to open it, wrap each bottle, then place them back in a wreath box before gifting in order to give them the advent calendar experience. (Speaking of, if you had rather create a personalized Advent for your person, instructions and recommendations can be found on this page.)
DryBar House of Blowouts Advent Calendar*
This 12 day advent packs everything you need for the perfect glass hair blowout. While all the products are sample size, the retail value is $154. The original price was $99, but it is now marked down to $74.25 on Amazon.
Kitsch North Pole Post 12 Day Advent is our runner-up and they are close to selling out. If they sell out and you would like to go with something similar from Kitsch, they have a large gift set, the Holiday Ultimate Collector's Bundle, for $125 (Down from $179).
We are calling this list Cottage and Fern because Home and Garden is dated and most of these advents lean more toward Cottagecore anyway.
Perfect for an inside gardener, this Advent Calendar - Gardening Kit* will thrill your cottagecore green thumb or earth-witchy terrarium lover. That and the price ($23.99) make this our top pick.
Our top crystals advent calendar is Crystals and Healing Stones Advent Calendar* for $19.99 on Amazon.
The top incense advent is Carnatia 24 Day of Holiday Cheer Incense Advent Gift Pack* for $23.99. Contains incense in 24 assorted festive fragrances.
Enchanted Forest by FreshCut Paper's Advent calendar* ($36.75) is simply gorgeous. This is 24 days of delicate heirloom-quality paper ornaments to treasure.
This category, like Beauty, sells out very early. If you want the best of these advents, it's a good idea to start watching for them to drop in September. Yes, I know that is crazy, but it is true. To get ANY of the art, craft, and stationary advents, you need to look in December. The last few that we knew of sold out earlier this week.
We have only found great stationary advent that is still available and we are so excited about it!
It is woman-owned and LGBTQIA and femme powered, and the advents have no Christmas specific markings on it. That means it's great for any friends that don't celebrate Christmas or it can be given as a gift at any time. 5/9's stationary advent is 24 individually hand wrapped gifts for daily opening from a specialty shop in Omaha, Nebraska. They state that the retail value of the advent is $240. Purchase price is $150 and you get to feel good about where your money is going. Win-win!
I think we should normalize giving advents the rest of the year. Who doesn't want little gifts to open every day of their birthday month? - QN

We have 2 options for mini books:
The Mini Book Advent Calendar* ($39.99) and the Mini Book Ornament Advent Calendar* ($17.99) both have 24 teeny tiny little reproductions of actual books, including excerpts from said books. The primary difference is the books' cover. The former's covers match the book's modern covers and claims that the books are hardcover, while the latter's bookcovers are more of a leatherbound edition and are made of cardstock.
Mini Brands Books Advent Calendar by ZURU+* is the one we have this year and it is bringing everyone joy.
These are some of the cutest dang things we have ever played with. We might be a bit obsessed. They can be used as ornaments... or you can build a teeny bookcase to store them in... like someone we know might have done. This is stellar for those bibliophiles in your life.
